Computing in the School of Architecture involves the use of leading edge technology and software. Therefore, computer specifications need to match a 'state of the art' criterion to be able to perform in today's architectural environment.

The following specifications are to be used as a guideline. The below charts represent the recommended hardware required to run architectural software.

As always, more is better. Consider upgrading the system above our specifications if possible. As far as PC brands go we are currently recommending Dell for their superior reliability and warranty. For Apple we recommend the Macbook Pro line.
